Wenatchee Valley Volleyball battled hard in its first home match of the season against Columbia Basin College, showing plenty of fight and potential against the second-seeded Hawks.

WVC came out ready to compete in the opening set, going point-for-point with CBC and pushing the set beyond 25 before narrowly falling 27-25. That first set showed exactly what this team is capable of when we play confidently, stay connected, and trust what we have been working on in practice.

Although WVC ultimately fell 0-3, the final result does not tell the entire story of the match. There were moments throughout the night where we competed at a high level and proved that we can battle with some of the stronger teams in our conference.

For us, the next step is learning how to turn those strong moments into consistent volleyball for an entire match. We are still growing, learning, and figuring out how to finish when we put ourselves in positions to be successful.

This team continues to show flashes of what it can become. Our time will come. We just have to continue putting in the work, trusting the process, and believing in what we are building together.
