Robert Finch has been teaching biology at Wenatchee Valley College since September 1989. When asked about his favorite part of being a professor, Finch highlighted three things: great students, a subject he never gets tired of teaching, and an awesome place to work.
Outside the classroom, Finch has been married to his wife, Kathy, since 1980, and they recently celebrated 46 years together. They have two daughters, both of whom earned their Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degrees from WVC. Their older daughter, Kashmere, directs a women’s health clinic in Payson, Arizona, and recently began working toward her Ph.D. in Business Administration. Their younger daughter, Klaireece, is a family physician practicing in the Orlando, Florida, area.
A baseball fan, Finch cheers for the Seattle Mariners in the American League and the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League. Having grown up in the Los Angeles area, he and his family have remained Dodgers fans over the years.
