Meet Interim Head Coach, Levi Vega!
Coach Vega rejoins the Women's Soccer program after a brief emergency stint in the offseason of the 2024-2025 school year. He has been at Wenatchee Valley College (WVC) since May of 2021 through the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP). Most recently, he served as the assistant athletics director in the 2025-2026 school year while also being a dual-sport college coach for the Women's Basketball program at WVC.
Now, returning as the Interim Head Coach for the 2026-2027 season, Coach Vega looks forward to instilling a foundation of student success, student empowerment, and preparing all our Knights student-athletes to excel in every aspect of college. Academically, professionally, athletically, and getting prepared for launching their desired careers after graduating from WVC.
Coach Vega is a first-generation college graduate of Washington State University (WSU) where he earned his bachelor's degree in criminology and criminal justice. Post WSU, he graduated from Eastern Washington University (EWU) with his master's in educational leadership. Coach Vega has also taught various courses at WVC in the Student Developmental Skills (SDS) department where students learn how to successfully navigate college environments, learn good study habits, and develop skills to be successful students.
Coach Vega played soccer during high school and recreationally in college. He recognized early on that his ability to see the field, understand the game from a coaches perspective, and develop a high IQ for the game would lead him to being a coach instead of a player. He describes himself as a "student of the game, an educator who loves coaching, and a coach who seeks to build partnerships with the student-athletes he works with to help them further develop as people beyond the game."
