Aaron Vaughn enters his fifth season at the helm of the Wenatchee Valley College baseball program, bringing a wealth of experience as a player and coach.

A native of Tucson, Arizona, Vaughn starred at Pusch Ridge High School, where he led his team to a 2A state championship and was named the 2008 Arizona 2A Player of the Year. He went on to pitch at Northwest Nazarene University (2010–2014), earning First Team All-Conference honors in 2013 and Second Team honors in 2014. Vaughn also set NNU’s single-season record for pitching wins. Following college, he signed with the Houston Astros organization and later played semi-professionally in the Frontier League.

Vaughn began his coaching career at Ferris High School in Spokane, WA, where he coached for three years while also giving private instruction at Athletic Edge Spokane. He then served as an assistant coach at Big Bend Community College for three seasons before joining the Wenatchee AppleSox coaching staff in the West Coast League. In 2020, Vaughn took over as head coach at Wenatchee Valley College, where he has helped transform the program into a perennial NWAC East Region contender.

Off the field, Vaughn and his wife Melissa enjoy life with their two daughters, Blair (4) and Jovi (2). The Vaughn family loves camping, taking walks together, and traveling to the coast.

Coaching Philosophy:
“I love being able to have a positive impact on young men’s lives and watching them grow on and off the field. My staff and I focus on developing the player as a whole, preparing them for success in the bigger picture of life. If you take care of business off the field, the game becomes that much easier.”

Vision for WVC Baseball:
To build lasting dominance in the East Region of the NWAC. After years at the bottom, the Knights have risen to the top and plan to stay there, with the ultimate goal of bringing a championship back to Wenatchee Valley College.
