Wenatchee Valley College Knights Baseball is headed to the 2026 NWAC Baseball Championship Tournament after capturing the Super Regional title at home on Paul Thomas Sr. Field on May 16.The Knights opened Super Regional play Friday with a strong 6-3 victory over Shoreline Community College. WVC followed with a thrilling 7-6 win over Shoreline on Saturday to secure the championship and earn a berth in the NWAC Championship Tournament.

With the two victories, the Knights advance to the eight-team NWAC Baseball Championship Tournament hosted by Lower Columbia College on May 21-25 at David Story Field in Longview.
The appearance marks the first time Wenatchee Valley College has advanced to the NWAC Baseball Championship Tournament since 2008.

"This team has accomplished some fantastic things on the field, but truly this was a group of young men who bought into so much more than baseball," said Coach Aaron Vaughn. "They treated each other with love and respect both on and off the field, made great memories, took care of business off the field, and grew as young men. This team won because they did things the right way."

The championship games are also a major milestone for Vaughn, who has coached in the NWAC for eight years. "Winning the Super Regional and making it to the true championship series is something I have been working toward and dreaming about for years," he said. "Making it to the final tournament has always been the goal."

The championship tournament will feature the top eight teams in the NWAC competing for the conference title over five days of action. Approximately 200 student athletes from across the Northwest will participate in the event.
Wenatchee Valley College enters the championship tournament with a 31-19 overall record and will open tournament play against Linn-Benton Community College, who enters with a 35-9 record, on Thursday at 12:35 p.m. at David Story Field on the campus of Lower Columbia College in Longview.

With a win, the Knights will play Friday at 4:35 p.m. If WVC falls in the opening round, they will return to action Friday at 9:35 a.m.
